Third-Party Lab Manager

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in medical research? Human Biological Samples (HBS) are the cornerstone of groundbreaking treatments and diagnostics. As a Third-Party Lab Manager (TPLM), you'll oversee the operational contracting activities for Third Party Labs (TPL) using HBS in exploratory testing. Your expertise will ensure that every clinical trial is supported by high-quality, compliant analysis, driving scientific and operational success.

Accountabilities:
- Ensure AZ contracted analysis using HBS meets scientific and operational needs with high quality and compliance.
- Develop TPL Scope of Work (SOW) and manage operational aspects, including PO tracking, data transfers, and risk management.
- Create and maintain documentation such as vendor communication plans, monitoring plans, and QC plans.
- Contribute to study-specific documentation like Clinical Study Protocols and Sample Lifecycle plans.
- Monitor TPL operations throughout the contract lifecycle, including amendments and closure.
- Track centrally located HBS using GlobalCode and other tools.
- Report operational activities to key stakeholders regularly.
- Oversee TPL data transfers and resolve queries.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) and Procurement on related activities.
- Engage in specific tasks across PMB as needed.
- Contribute to process development and automation technology deployment.
- Stay informed on trends, best practices, and regulations in laboratory information management.
- Ensure compliance with GCP, HGR, and country-specific regulations.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Experience with managing and negotiating Research and Development specific contracts.
- Degree (or relevant equivalent qualification) in relevant area, or relevant equivalent industry experience.
- Fluent in English as the AstraZeneca working language.
- A clear demonstration of behaviours of Truth seeking rather than success seeking.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Clinical Laboratory scientific experience.
- Experience in more than one company or country.
- Proven experience in contributing to operational deployment of clinical laboratory testing.
- Proven experience in oversight of external partners, especially clinical laboratory service providers.
